Got this for my 9 year old when they were recreating the Oklahoma race at school. It was bought for props rather than actual use, but I still feel like it was overpriced and if I bought it for actual use I wouldn't be happy with it. It's very thin and the needle doesn't balance well. it looks cool My son thought it looked like a real vintage compass. But he's also 9 years old and more impressed than me, laughs. I would be happier paying around $5 as it's more price for quality in my opinion. It did the work for its program.
