When I look at this I can't figure out how in the world the water comes out of what seems to be a solid plate of metal but trust me it is a wonderful hand held showrr with so many variables. You can start out by throwing the hose in the trash because it is not flexible whatsoever but I suppose in a pinch you could keep it for a backup. This went on in 2 seconds and has not leaked yet and I love the fact that you can turn it off turn it on or leave going and I have waist length thick hair that needs a lot of pressure to rid the soap From my hair and this provided all I needed and more. I am seriously floored and delighted.Personally, I use Kurig de-scaler (for coffee pots)To keep my hand shower wand de-scaled from hard water.
