Very well designed and made. Good quality aluminum and hardware, easy to install and remove, not particularly heavy and very easy to store. Remove carefully to avoid pinching your fingers. I have compared this Telestep to two other brands (in store) that cost a little less and the Telesteps are better designed and have a better finish. He also weighed between a pound and a half. more, but still within acceptable limits. A few online comparison reports also found the Telestep to be better made and flex less. Telesteps are a few dollars more expensive. I mainly use it for attic access and wasn't sure I needed the 10.5" model but it turned out great - you don't have to extend each step, just what you need. This ladder flexes very little (I'm over 170) and has a maximum weight range of 250 pounds. I recommend this ladder and will also buy the 10.5ft model even if you use it for 8ft ceilings. If you have a 9-inch or 10-foot ceiling, I'd recommend a larger model, especially if you're using it outdoors.
