The switch and the protective cover are of high quality. The red cover is very noticeable and easy to spot. I actually used the switch as a test switch on an electric water heater I installed. I test the boiler at the beginning and in the middle of the heating system. The switch allows me to bypass the thermostat controls to manually control the boiler. This allows me to take actual readings from each individual heating element to have access to the overall operation of the boiler without having to change the thermostat setting. I've put instruction labels in case another technician does the actual testing.
