Review on Oatey 43791 Saddle 4 Inch 2 Inch by John Floyd

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Well made, easy to use - great way to connect to an existing drain line

Well made, durable and easy to use. Take your time planning where to tie your 4 inch pipe and think about the flow. Before you cut your existing pipe, lay everything out and make sure you have the correct position and angle for this saddle. Once it's glued, you can move it. Use a permanent marker to mark its position on all sides and mark where you will cut the round hole in the 4 inch pipe. I used a 2" hole saw and then sanded the edges of the holes smooth. Make sure all surfaces to be glued are absolutely clean. Plan how you will assemble everything before applying the glue. Prepare everything, check Checking whether the nuts unscrew easily. Once the parts are assembled you need to work quickly. I applied PVC glue to the seat and tube and bonded them based on the marks I made earlier. I then pulled quickly the threaded clamps to hold it firmly in place with a very strong, professional looking connection to my downspout.
