Bought for my husband for a trip to Iceland. He planned on wearing just jeans and briefs, but reluctantly agreed to try that, too. Wore them with long johns underneath every day of the trip and was very happy with them. They kept him warm and dry, kept the wind out, and he said they were very comfortable too. By the end of the week, he even thanked me for insisting on trying them out and plans to wear them on our next cold-weather adventure. By the way, they look so much like slacks (he bought mine in gray) that he can wear them with a sweater at business meetings on the rare occasions when he has to go to meetings in the coldest weather (Michigan, Vermont, Maine . . .- and we live in Florida!).
