I like the idea of wearing padded pants when hiking. But it's more of a winter pant, too thick and tight for hiking. They should remove the hikes from the description. I still gave four stars because they seem to be well made. I have a 33" waist and my mids were a little loose, I definitely need a belt. In addition, they are very noisy when running.

Great pants, waterproof, windproof, breathable, stretches a little! return. If I wanted layering, M would be fine. Size S was a bit tight at first but after 2-3 wears it stretched out to a comfortable fit. Nice and warm and soft. Water rolls off them. Boots.

Bought these to use on delivery trips. The fit is a bit big but doesn't hold anything with a strap. I'm a woman so the fit was slightly different. The material is very water-repellent and works great in the snow. I love the zippers on the pockets and how strong they are. The pants are machine washable and will not fall apart. They are very warm, but not so warm that I could wear them on normal weather days. I will buy more.

They fit great and are comfortable but not very warm. I bought them for a trip to Mount Hood and was expecting temperatures in the 30's. Despite warm leggings underneath, I was pretty cold the whole trip. They're great at keeping wind and water out, but don't expect them to be really warm. Maybe if you're active, like hiking or hunting, but not for lounging around camp or just being out in the cold. I say this as someone who is usually the warmest person in the room/camp.
