Review on Attisstore Painting Stencil Set: 1 Inch Plastic Letters and Numbers - Interlocking Stencil Kit with 138 Pieces in Black by Doris Tran

Fixing instructions for spray painting

These templates are decent. The plastic is thin but flexible, and I haven't had any issues with cracking even when trying to fit the tiny protrusions together. The seller sent me six nines (instead of three sixes and three nines). The number shapes are identical, but the locking tabs are not. (I think you can flip them vertically, but you can't flip them or flip them horizontally and lock them properly. I was able to cut the tabs on the flipped nines and still position them correctly.). The seller's instructions for the holder are incomplete. The best instructions are below: 1. Make sure your letters are right side up (the more finished, slightly uneven, matte side seems to go down. The less finished but smoother side goes up. If they are correct, the tabs on the left side of each letter should be protruding outwards/further apart, with the tabs pointing inward/closer together on the right side).2. Line up the letters you want to block.3. Slide the right side template of the first pair down (toward you) until the shorter, cut off end of the top tabs of both letters align. (see fig. no. 1)4. Press the tabs of BOTH templates down (towards the table/medium) until the notches are clearly separated (do not bend).5. Align the cutouts of the two letters by sliding the templates towards each other. The top corner of the right letter is above the left stencil, but most of the edge is below. (See Fig. 2) 6. Slide the right template up (away from you) until the tops of both templates are again aligned. (See pic #3) 7. Carefully fold the right template (bend but do not bend) and hold the top corner until you can line up the shorter raw edge of the bottom tab with the edge of the left template. (see fig. no. 4)8. Align the cutouts of the two letters by pushing the templates back together. Release the curve of the right template so that it flattens out and guide its edges until the top and bottom edges of both templates are aligned. The bottom corner of the right letter is now also on the left stencil, but most of the middle edge is on the bottom. (see fig. no. 5)8. The templates are now locked. If you look at the back, you can see that the locking tabs have a sort of "hand in hand" effect (think square dancing). (See pic #6) Using tie-down straps makes it easier to line up and spray the letters, but they also protrude slightly from the material so the edges aren't as clean.
