I've recently tried several versions of this jacket in 2X and 3X sizes. I find that 3X suits me better and 2X is too flattering. There is definitely a big jump from one size to another. The style of many Columbia coats is more form-fitting, so you may need to try the next size up depending on whether you're wearing multiple layers of underwear. Also, the design of the coat is really good and the Omni-Heat system seems to work. I am currently forgoing the Columbia coat until I've shed a few more pounds and am better able to wear the 2X. I think that gives me a goal for the new year.
