This is a great alternative to disposable dental floss. My daughter has trouble with dental floss without a holder. I bought it after seeing her snap a thread on 3 disposables in less than a minute. Disposable items create a huge amount of waste. This holder is pretty durable. She has no problem with a large size (it is larger than disposable). This allows her to floss herself. It's very easy to use. The thread wraps around the "button" on the back of the holder, then down and around the end and back to the "button". If your teeth are close together, it's important to wrap the floss around the "knob" enough times so that the floss doesn't slip out.
