after reading laudatory reviews about this lens, I decided to buy it to replace 18-105, which I soon regretted. Apparently positive reviews about him are left by people who understand little in this area. Of the pluses, one can only note the aperture of 2.8. Of the minuses: very soapy, at some aperture values ​​it is striking, 18-105 is sharper. Heavy. In video mode, the focus ring does not work, autofocus sometimes fails to catch focus 10 times in a row, while it buzzes disgustingly, which is naturally recorded on video. Transition and exit from the macro mode only at a focal length of at least 35 mm. In general, I am absolutely disappointed with the purchase, before that I did not even think that the Nikon company was capable of doing this. The build quality also leaves much to be desired.
