If you are on a budget, these types of auto parts will allow you to own a vintage BMW and drive it like you are really rich. The same part costs about $100 more at the dealer (I'm not exaggerating). If you do what I did, you can save even more money by installing it yourself. There are tutorial videos on youtube if you know how to find them and show how to install this part. I had to replace this part on my 1997 BMW 528i when I found that the heater and air conditioning fan was not working at all. I was told it's probably the regulator that needs to be replaced, not the fan motor itself. The mechanic was right. Note* When I first installed this part it didn't blow heat (I didn't panic) but after a few minutes the heat started and I've had heat and air conditioning ever since. I have no regrets purchasing this item from Revain.com. I believe it's made in China but don't let that put you off.
