Creamy colors with good coverage/pigment. However, the red is definitely more orange. It looks red in a pan, but it's not true red when in use. For most things this won't be a problem, I was planning on using it for Halloween and I really needed the red so that's a bummer. If you want to use red, remember that you may need to buy a different palette or a separate red. There's no way to mix it to make it less orange. For me personally, primary colors are a must, too bad this red is so orange. Edit: / After trying to wash my hand off the sample, I found that some of the colors were stained! I'm very fair so it's not uncommon but fair warning if you use it on a pale child their face may be blotchy.
