FIRST EXPERIENCE WIPE ON POLY

This brand can't be wrong. Anyway, I would recommend for beginner typewriters to watch some YouTube videos on how to apply water based polymer and then experiment with wood before proceeding to actual repair/finishing. It's a dry/satin finish, but I've found that if you're just trying to polish a table and still get an oily, shiny end result, I've found that with this product it's possible. I have refurbished 3 tables and after 3 months they are all holding up great with heavy wear and tear from daily use by children and family. There is a specific method of applying poly (water based) to any smooth flat surface other than paint, hence the YouTube video. Recommendation. What I like is the lack of smoke. No messy cleaning with this water-based polymer. It dries pretty quickly. Cures when and as indicated on the product label. It took me a while to transition to a water based polygon. I'm glad I took the risk. I found gradual 600/800/1000/final 2000 grit sandpaper and some fine slow sanding with water, the final coat of this polygon has comparable oil/varnish coverage and a durable finish. 5 Stars. Good product.
