This is a quality tool box made from heavy-duty plastic (not the cheap, brittle stuff that many drawers are made of). Done) The latches fix the lid and do not open. The mini storage compartments on the lid are large enough for more than 2 or 3 screws and stay closed when the box is open. I like that the lid hinge opens fully and rests on the bottom. This feature prevents the hinge from being overstressed and breaking. The tray is full size, approximately 2 inches deep, and with the tray in the box, the available space under the tray is 5-3/4 inches deep, 17-3/8 inches long, and 7-3/4 inches wide without the tray, the box is about 8 inches deep (length and width are the same as above). There are 2 places where you can attach a lock to protect the contents. I am a dealer and appreciate that this is good quality, well made/designed and when it comes down to it a nice tool chest and made in the USA.
