This is a perfectly suitable replacement for the under counter brackets that come with Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Kenmore and other sister brands dishwashers. The attached photo shows the original KitchenAid bracket on the left and this replacement bracket on the right. The most obvious difference is that the KitchenAid hanger is made of galvanized steel and is therefore rust resistant, while the replacement hanger appears to be bare steel and can rust over time. Another difference is that the replacement is not evaluated. where the instructions would have you bend and snap a piece if you were using these side brackets and the slots are in different places. If you're mounting under a countertop, it doesn't matter. Another difference is the lack of a notch, but I'm not sure of the purpose. I assume it's to prevent the dishwasher door from hitting the screw, but you wouldn't do that. I want him to hit that dimple too. If installed correctly, this shouldn't be a problem. Aside from what I noted above, the brackets are functionally equivalent. The kit also includes two appropriately sized and shaped flat head screws.
