I've been using Rembrandt soft pastels since I was 9 years old, I take private drawing classes and I've always loved them! these over 30 years. (Not only is it heartbreaking to lose pastels, ArtBin no longer makes this box of pastels! And of course I can't find a decent replacement, which makes me very sad!). My opinion on this set is simple, if you already know you are a pastel artist or can afford a one time investment whatever your skill level then this is a fantastic compact well chosen excellent quality pastel set. Easily expandable if additional colors are needed and those purchased separately. Going back to pastels was a great start. what the student already has without having to run to the art store. The image (poorly photographed as it is behind glass) is a portrait I took at the age of 14 in Rembrandt pastels.
