I bought this protector for my new Apple Mini. In particular, I needed a surface that would match the 1st generation Apple Pencil. The textured surface works great with a pencil and gives a paper feel. The fit was easy - after thorough cleaning and inspection, the protective film is easy to apply and put on. Absence of air pockets that cannot simply be "cleaned out". I have applied many protectors over the years so I have found this to be one of the best products. As with all such screen protectors, it is imperative to clean the screen of even the smallest dust particles. I combined this protector with a Zugu sleeve. Initially, the contact between the rubberized case and the screen protector causes some "buoyancy", but by manipulating the case's edge material I was able to smooth the screen protector back out. To be honest I think it's always a challenge to match protectors and cases (unless of course the case has a built in protector). After sorting I had no more problems. My main concern is the durability of the product - a textured surface creates significant noise when used with a pencil, which implies friction - so there is a chance that the pen tip or textured surface will degrade over time. I will update my experience. I would prefer to wear the springs as they are easier to replace. But for now everything is fine.
