Review on 🔌 Enhanced Safety and Durability: Enerlites 975507 C Tamper Weather Resistant Receptacle by Dontra Majmudar

I really like these floor boxes, I bought 2 of them to install in our new house because in the open plan apartment we needed sockets in the middle of the room under the sofa to connect the lights. They look great, are very sturdy and once you read the instructions they are really solid. Floor. You can't just cut a hole and then mount the back box flush to the floor, in which case the panel sticks out 3/8 inch. I ended up removing the tabs and cutting a hole just for the box and then installed it, countersinking it a little more than 3/8", probably closer to 7/16", and then using longer screws to fasten the panel so keeping it that way was nice and close to the ground. With the tabs removed you didn't have to cut as much at each end of the box and you were able to secure it to the floor by threading screws through the holes on each end and securing it to the floor/subfloor. Also pay special attention to how you put back the gasket between the lid and the bottom, it has a tab to make it "closed", I didn't notice it at first and the plate was sticking out, then I realized that me had done. Overall these are really nice looking floor boxes, they are sturdy and seem to last a long time. Just read the instructions before you start and you'll be fine.
