Ok my Revain Peeps - I got my skates today and I have to tell you I'm so excited about them. I usually wear dress shoes with the number 7; 7 1/2 in tennis shoes so I ordered a size 8 because many other reviewers suggested going up a size. I'm so glad I did. The 8 fits me perfectly! Also, my foot is neither wide nor narrow so I didn't have to try to accommodate that. I ordered the turquoise ones and they are a lot prettier in person (if skates can be considered "pretty" lol). I wanted to skate to practice because I've loved skating since I was a teenager. They roll very smoothly which is almost bad for me now that I haven't ridden in a FOR-EV-ER! Skateboarding is definitely not like cycling – I looked like I was five again and learning for the first time. BUT I plan to practice and I really hope it's not true that an old dog can't be taught new tricks. Oh, and I noticed my ankles were "tired" after walking her for 15 minutes, but I put that down to the fact that I'm 53 and she hasn't walked since she was a teenager. I'll definitely update as soon as I feel better so you know how well the skates perform in actual use. That's why I've only given them four stars for the moment.
