History of 4 LCD Boards.

Bought 4 different LCD tablets as Christmas presents. One for my 6 year old to practice letters and spelling, one for my little one (because of course he wants everything his big brother has), one for a "toddler toys" gift and one for me because I got a blitz deal and it was hard to get past it. I had no experience with LCD boards so it took me a minute to figure out that there is no "ON" button - you just start typing. I think I assumed they were backlit. In any case, I immediately tried all 4 boards to see which one worked best. They all have advantages, some are better than others. The brightest tablet in the group was the newest tablet (orange), but it was also the easiest to get secondary marks off my hand. However, this was my favorite of the 4 boards and I chose this for my 6 year old because he will be using the board for school and fun most of the time. Mafiti and NEWYES boards were the second lightest, with Mafiti producing thinner lines and Mafiti also being just a board with no extras. It was also the cheapest board in the group, with a lightning fast deal costing around $6. I took this one as my message board and I think it will be good for that. The NEWYES board was the only board that came with a strap and in my opinion it's the most useful accessory and I'd rather have it than the spare batteries that came with some boards. My least favorite board is the Sunany board, although it comes with most accessories, including a screwdriver to remove the tiny screw for the battery compartment and a spare pin in case you lose it. While all boards are darkest in low light, this was the darkest of the four. All panels become brighter and easier to read in a well-lit room. Attached is a photo of a Sunany board in low and high light conditions. If I were to recommend any of these 4 boards for a child I would definitely choose the newest board with NEWYES coming second. I hope my review was helpful for those who have doubts about which board to buy :)
