Treble and bass are muted

I'm sending this back. Bass and treble sound muffled, no matter how I set the equalizer. Music sounds better on my workplan tronics headphones, which are $50. I also noticed that sometimes the volume drops in the right ear. Everything else seems to work as advertised, they are not suitable for listening to music. Connect them directly and still get the same result.
