Excellent product. polished 1600 square feet of terrazzo flooring to 800 grit before acrylic coating. I have used 3 pads on the bottom bumper and they show little to no wear. Buy the thinner ones if you're just making one countertop, but these thick ones are great for floors or a million counters. The only complaint is that the velcro has worn away on a couple of the pads. I'm pretty sure it's because I wasn't as careful about switching them between a floor buffer and a fine angle grinder. Also recommend wetting the floor or countertop for a while to allow the clean water to penetrate the cement before polishing. Some of the gum's granularity is colored, which is a bit intimidating when you see the pink mush on your white floors, but as long as it doesn't absorb them, it wets fine.
