We use this device for Skype for Business and GotoMeeting when there are multiple people in the room. We were disappointed with the low level of audio coming out of the laptop's speakers and the limited ability of the laptop's built-in microphones to pick up what everyone in the room was saying. This little device lets you crank up the volume, and the array of microphones picks up anyone who speaks well. I even use it when I'm alone in the room if I don't have a headset handy. The people on the other end of the line comment on how clearly I speak.
