One of the best offers, glad I bought it.

Generally, the phone is excellent. No delays or cancellations have ever occurred throughout my travels. I was originally going to take a Xiaomi Mi6 since I adore the design of its exterior, but after seeing this awful square case, I changed my mind. The square brick design was a turnoff for Note 8.
I also purchased an official film and an Alcantara cover for the phone, as I had seen that unofficial films sometimes included a small strip of adhesive at the bottom of the screen. Since silicone is used for the official film, even the slightest scratch from a fingernail or other sharp object will produce a deep scuff that will be evident in bright light and will be impossible to fix.
Since I always wear a watch, Always-on-Display isn't necessary for me.
In general, the phone is worthwhile if you are prepared to invest time and energy into setting it up and routinely clearing the cache and various data in order to prevent the phone from becoming increasingly slow over time. Use an iPhone instead of an Android if your hands are all the same size and you can't figure out how to operate Android.

Pros

1) Display. It's a joy to enjoy video content on. To me, thank God, the world is as black as black and the world as white as white. If the Minimum Width is increased to 449 in the Developer Options, the display will mimic the appearance of WQHD + at FHD + resolution. The 6.2-inch model, which I initially considered too huge because of my little hands, turned out to be just right. I use it at 30% brightness with no issues, and I put about 50% brightness out on the street. 2) Sound. The high quality sound from the provided headphones is a nice bonus. I've installed Poweramp and customized the equalizer to my liking, and everything is peachy except that my headphones keep falling out of my ears and need to be readjusted every ten to fifteen minutes. Thirdly, a jack measuring 3.5 millimeters. The headphone jack on most smartphones is either on the top or doesn't exist at all. I have always used this connector, and I absolutely despise it being on top, therefore this is not acceptable to me, and I refuse to inconvenience myself by bringing an adaptor everywhere I go. Four) The power pack is to my liking. My typical phone usage consists of making and receiving calls, sending and receiving texts, using social media, listening to music, and reading the news. After the fifth iPhone, which "turned off" at 80% at temperatures of 0-5 degrees, this one appears to be a portable Powerbank, with 40-50% of the charge still present by 23:00. 5). Camera. Again, after the 5th iPhone, this high-priced Camera that can record every individual hair in a beard looks excessive. The images are exceptionally sharp. The "Safe Folder" folder, number 6, looks great. Instead of requiring additional software downloads, native support for storing private information is now available. 7) The speakerphone's little speaker is surprisingly loud; I can clearly hear everyone even though they're on the other end of the line. 8) My phone picks up the signal just fine; I don't even need Wi-Fi to access the web when in the train.

Cons

One) a fingerprint reader. My own familiarity with its location allows me to find it in a flash. Unfortunately, it's not true. Sometimes you have to put your finger 3 times. It's unclear if this is because of some inherent flaw in the scanner or because of the scanner's very large size. Neither face unlock nor iris unlock are features I utilize. 2) There are currently only 2.8 usable GB of the 6 GB of RAM. The remainder of it makes no sense to me. There is a problem with the email notification system, which prevents new messages from being read. Employed both the default email client (named "Email") and Google's alternative (named "Gmail"). As soon as I stopped trying to fix it and started googling, neither one started displaying notifications. 4) The incoming call is three times as loud as any other notifications, including those from social media. As a result, there are occasions when I just don't get alerts. There is no higher volume setting available. Dislike the Bixby button, number 5. It's easy for me to mistake it for the volume down button. As a result, I'm holding out for an ate to disable it, as the currently available third-party programs are useless trash. There's already an ate on Note8 that does that. As point #6, Android'om requires a lot of tinkering. With iOS, it's much simpler to turn off unused apps (so they don't drain the battery or cause interference) and activate various modes and customize the phone to your liking. You just bought the phone, turned it on, and started using it.
