Nice functional power adapter with USB ports

I haven't tested surge protectors so this review will focus on the power adapter itself. This is a standard power adapter with 6 outlets and 2 USB ports. So far this device has performed as expected and met all my needs and expectations. With that in mind, I would definitely recommend this device. Pros: * Each socket has a small piece of plastic that slides over the holes when not in use. I have two young children and it's like an extra step they have to go through to get to the point of sale. In addition, it looks neat and prevents dust from entering the sockets. * There are two USB ports. I find this extremely helpful as I have cables and am always looking for adapters. An added benefit is that they're far enough away from the first outlet that they're unlikely to be hit by a plug. I personally like such calm. I also like something that lights up when the power strip is on. * The device itself is thin and fits in a limited space. I have mine in a chute in a compartment under the sit/stand table. It is important that there is extra space at this point to allow larger forks to be installed. * The cable is thick and looks sturdy. The whole block looks well made. * It is possible to install an extension cord. The hardware isn't included, but they provide a template if you want to install it, which is great. I just installed another one and the lack of a template was a bummer and made the job a lot harder than it needed to be. CONS: * No dedicated connectors for large plugs. If you're using something with a larger plug, two (or more) outlets will likely be required. * The fork is not flat. I knew this was happening and for my use it's not a deal breaker. The cable is really thick and not very flexible. It sticks out of the wall quite a bit. This would not be a good extension to install behind a piece of furniture on a wall. * No mounting hardware - I knew this was happening and it wasn't a deal breaker for me.

Pros
  • Accessories and consumables
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
