Bringing a nearly dead battery back to life

I bought 2 of these to service two car batteries (20 watt + 10 amp solar controller). PROS: Measured up to 37 watts (2.6 amps x 14.4 volts) in direct sunlight from one of these small panels. The solar controller works great with these panels and can safely work with up to 100w panel. The cable length from the panel (18 inches) to the battery (24 inches) is a good compromise. As stated in the title of the review, one of my batteries was 11.7v and one of these panels was able to get the battery back to a stable 12.5v in 2 days (to be honest the battery is already 7 years old). . and near the end of life). CONS: (a) The cable screws in the solar controller are small and you need to be careful not to over tighten while making sure the cables really hook and hold tight. (b) The solar controller is intended to be set by the user for maximum voltage (I set mine to 13.8V) however they continue to charge up to 14.4V and stabilize at that voltage. Not a big deal for standard car batteries, but can be a problem if someone is using a more exotic battery type. OVERALL OPINION: While it's a little pricey for what you get ($50 each), I'm very happy with the kit and would recommend it to save your batteries.
