Sifting the tea with your hands is just as effective.

They look great and are easy to clean, but they don't work! After putting and sealing the loose tea, put it into the water. Most of the tea comes out! I had to sift the tea all the time. Also, they are very fragile, I ordered several of these and they arrived damaged.
