Review on Harley Twin Cam Chrome Tappet/Lifter Block Accent Cover 00-16 Dyna FLHX FLHR by Charley Martinez

Quality piece on my review.

Arrived today, got next day delivery! This is a nice quality piece. The chrome is very nice and the part has some heft to it.I had to remove my Arlen Ness filter assembly to get more room for the install. Excluding the time to remove the filter, it took all of ten minutes to install, was a perfect fit.One thing I ran into was an issue with tape. Once I test fitted the part I noticed that the white tape was reflecting off of the chrome cam cover underneath it. There is a gap under this part when installed above the cam cover that exposes the white tape. Since the tape they use usually never holds anyways, I removed the tape and didn't use it. The way this part mounts using a bracket that is supported by 2 of the lifter housing bolts and a third screw in the center of the bracket, the tape is not even needed.Once its bolted down and secure its very solid. I cant see any problem with it ever coming loose. When installing, loosely install the bracket first, then install the part using the center screw and everything will line up easily. Just tighten the lifter housing bolts down and then the center screw and your done.Did I mention it looks awesome. This is the exact same part that Harley and Kury sell for $85.

Pros
  • This stunning chrome accent cover adds a touch of sleek and modern style to your Harley Twin Cam engine, giving it a customized and personalized look that sets your bike apart from the rest
Cons
  • While the shiny chrome finish may initially look impressive, it may also be prone to scratches and corrosion over time, requiring more frequent maintenance and upkeep than other types of finish options
