This is a great product that is difficult to use when tackling the ball on soft ground (ie mostly long lengths). As you lengthen the ball trap it becomes very thin and more fragile which is why some people broke the ball trap in other reviews. Not only does it become more brittle at full extension, it also makes the spring more difficult to activate as it is more difficult to apply the pressure required for the spring to be active and you could potentially break the ball trap. Final Thoughts: 1) You will mostly use this up to 10ft and it works very well. Use the full length only when you take the ball in the woods as you can't see anything in the water at 14 meters away 2) When fully extended it is very fragile as the stem becomes incredibly thin (thinner than a pencil ), so I advise anyone who buys it to only use it for the first 10 feet or so (don't use the thinner rod to prevent it from breaking, it's harder to activate the trap at longer lengths). Super compact and great product
