Review on ๐ŸŒก๏ธ Cooper-Atkins DPP800W MAX Digital Thermometer with Long Probe | Waterproof, Auto Shutoff, Temperature Memory | Yellow by Scott Ward

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Exactly but. Best in Instant-Read

5 stars for accuracy and plastic quality but the min/max hold function is tricky to do as you hold the moment resetting the readings, it immediately records the current ambient temperature as a valid record. So if you want to record the min/max temperature in the freezer during the defrosting process, you must first put the thermometer in the freezer for a while and then activate the min/max temperature function while it is still in the freezer. Also the 2 small buttons for min/max and hold are small and hard and very difficult to activate. Update: It is extremely cumbersome to enable the min/max feature. The button is hard and very complex. Ironically, the Grade-C/Grade-F toggle button on the back is very easy to toggle. I wonder why Cooper didn't use a similar switch for the min/max function. Terrible design. I bought this for the min/max function so am very disappointed with this purchase.

Pros
  • Min/Max temp memory stores high and low readings
Cons
  • Can't remember but there was something
