Review on 🐾 Peritas Cat Pads: Super Absorbent, Leak Proof Refills for Breeze Tidy Cat Litter System (20 Count) by Julie Blanford

I decided to try these charcoal pads in my boxes (2 cats, 2 Breeze boxes). After trying several of these, I can say with certainty: I don't feel any odor neutralization. Activated charcoal seems to be an advertisement that doesn't eliminate the odor. These pads smelled like urine after a few days. They also saturated much faster than Breeze and Ultra Absorb pads. Also, the gaskets themselves are not sealed very well. When I took them out of the box, I noticed that many of them weren't fully sealed on all sides. There were gaps through which the contents of the seal could leak. This is also not a problem with Breeze or Ultra Absorb insoles. The content of the pad is like crushed material. Since the gaskets aren't properly sealed, I'm worried they're going to make a big mess. These pads are sent back (DAMN I didn't bother to return, I was 1 day late so I'm stuck on the packaging); and I'm sticking with Value Vortex Ultra Absorb. UPDATE: I forgot to change my cat crates before leaving for a few days; So I didn't change them for 7 days. I knew it was going to be uncomfortable; but postponement was no longer possible; I had to go there and change clothes. I have 1 box for each cat. First, Peritas Activated Pad Charcoal. It was a disaster. Not only did unabsorbed urine splash into the tray, but there was a large puddle on the floor under the excess urine container that had nowhere to go and spilled out of the tray. It was disgusting! I had to reach into my pee to grab the corners of the pad to pull it out because there really isn't anything around the edges to grab hold of to remove it. The pad is also slightly smaller than the tray so it doesn't help absorb urine. As I feared, the pad's contents spilled out of the top layer, making it even messier and more awkward as the black shredded paper fell out. As for the other box, the Ultra Absorb Pad was very well saturated; but no urine spilled into the tray or dripped urine onto the floor under the drawer. I really regret not returning this pack of carbon pads as they are practically useless; So I just threw away $25. Lesson learned.
