🐾 Peritas Cat Pads: Super Absorbent, Leak Proof Refills for Breeze Tidy Cat Litter System (20 Count) Review

I had high hopes for this product. I've been using the Breeze system for 7 years now and am waiting for a good Purina competitor for pods/pellets. This is NOT one of them. After 2-3 days the pads knocked me off my feet with the smell of ammonia and hardly used them. I've been able to get a solid 7 days out of Purina pillows with one cat. Also, I have never smelled ammonia in my urine in all 7 years. So far, no one has been able to tell from a smell test that I have a cat.

I've been using the Breeze granulate toilet for a long time. I have a family with several cats and 5 Breeze system boxes. These pads are a good economical alternative to more expensive brand name pads. I think they work just as well. I can't use regular cat litter for many reasons and have been using the Breeze system for over 10 years. I am very glad that I can buy pads at a cheaper price and in larger quantities. I bought these to try and save some money on replacement Breeze insoles. I have 3 cats and these pads are as absorbent as brand name replacement pads but they don't control odor well. About a day later, I could smell ammonia throughout the apartment. Considering how close these pods are to 20k branded pods, those savings aren't enough to combat the odor. We've been using the Purina Clean Cat Litter System for many years and I love that the litter doesn't contain granules. It's getting more expensive and these pads are a cheaper and better alternative to the ones you can buy from Purina. While they aren't PERFECTLY as good as the Breeze pads, they are MORE than adequate and I WILL BUY THEM. I decided to try these charcoal pads in my boxes (2 cats, 2 Breeze boxes). After trying several of these, I can say with certainty: I don't feel any odor neutralization. Activated charcoal seems to be an advertisement that doesn't eliminate the odor. These pads smelled like urine after a few days. They also saturated much faster than Breeze and Ultra Absorb pads.
