I bought this phone looking for a basic phone for my grandma who is hard of hearing. - My first problem with this is that the pairing of the handset with the base was very unreliable. The main reason I'm returning it I kept getting "TBR6 Failed" - I didn't like the buttons, they're made of soft plastic and the feedback they give is pretty vague, there's no sure click when you press the button.- The voice on the answering machine says fast, very mechanically and a bit difficult to understand.- The positive is that it uses 3 AAA NiMH batteries, so you don't need a special type of battery.. The downside is that If you're not careful you can run into serious charging problems when buying alkaline batteries - Buttons and text are large - Seems to be quite noisy.
