I've had these spoons for over a year now and the reason the four stars are over five is because my child was able to pierce the spoon with his teeth. I don't blame the manufacturer for that. It's still a great spoon and I would buy it again if I had another baby starting to wean. The spoons have recently been pierced. I can only imagine that after constant washing cycles in the dishwasher, the integrity of the spoon coating will deteriorate. I just wanted buyers to be aware of this opportunity. Overall, the handle of the spoon is well made and easy for small hands to hold. Comfortable bed for the little ones. I would say this is probably the best starter spoon out there.
