I paid double the price for this bottle because it's handmade which I really appreciate + the seller says they use lacquer ONLY on the OUTSIDE which would be great IF it is would be true. -Oxidation is the "perfect" look that looks clean but . NO benefits. Look at my Sertodo brand (no varnish is used inside) and you can see the dark spots which are ugly BUT if you clean with salt and water (required) and then use it to save water you get the benefits of copper. Copper bottles are for and needed for that, and not for beauty. I'll wait another day for the oxidation and if not it'll come back, you don't need beauty without functionality. I've found that a lot of copper sellers are starting to use varnish on the inside because it's our consumers fault, we complain that we get dark spots easily, but that's what copper does naturally and only on a regular basis needs to be cleaned. It's a job, but it's better to drink water from a NATURALLY clean surface than a chemically painted surface.
