Highly recommend if you have multiple cars on the road! I've done this a few times without, relying on cell phones to let others know to shut down or coordinate hotels/rest stops/gas stations on the fly... oh my god how I would have liked then walkie talkie! it's so great to chat while driving to stay awake, coordinate, very easy to use with one hand without looking etc. especially the bc cell signal sometimes doesn't work on the open road! Small warning: do not accidentally leave it on! (it will die overnight), take extra batteries with you and the range isn't that great if you travel to the mountains/cities. Also, don't alert your partner driving behind you to the highway police because those police can hear you very well over the channel (I was definitely embarrassed, oh my god).
