Genuine parts are important

This is an exact match and function. I installed a fake a few years ago and it never looked like the real thing. This allows the water to bypass the shower head when squeezed and just run down the tub drain. The fake version was simply inserted and not released when the shower was turned off. This is a genuine Delta bypass valve and it works perfectly. Allows the shower head to be fully pressurized without water loss and slides back out when the shower valve is turned off.
