Review on πŸ”Œ Equivalent Compatible Assistant for Philips 464487 by Brandy Miller

Please read if you are new to lighting. Hue is a great product, but understand what to expect from Hue

I just bought a second colored lightbulb. There are also two white lights in the bedroom and two white lights in the TV room. First you need to buy a Hue Bridge for them to work. The bridge is a one-time purchase that supports up to 50 lights. Second, it's expensive, but giving a bad review about a product because of price is ridiculous, as is giving a bad review because a bridge is required. Finally, you must have an internet signal for it to work. Now for the lights themselves. I have them in several rooms, I've moved the lights around and made a few changes to the grouping in the app. All of mine worked perfectly. We use the Echo Dot throughout the house and the lights are easy to control with Alexa if you use the right name (remember, table lamp and table lamp are different from Alexa). So what can you do with Hue lights? Turn on/off the light remotely from your phone. Set colors to make the room stand out (ideal for soccer games with team colors). Set the light to turn on when you get home so you don't have a dark house. I queue when my phone says I'm about a mile away and limit it to only turning it on after sundown. I just bought a $2 app that includes a fireworks program that changes the lights to your music. Adjust colors, whites and brightness in the app or via Alexa. I suggest picking the area you want to try and getting a starter kit with a few lights. If you're like me, you'll quickly come up with new ideas to add more light to other spaces.
