Several versions of the toy box are shown in the photos!

The last photo in the list is the latest version! We bought this toy box 9 years ago and loved it. When our new baby was born we wanted the same box. I was so excited that we could find the exact same box! We were disappointed upon unboxing as we noticed that the box wasn't the same as before and looked like a cheaper version. The toy box shown in the first and third pictures of the listing is from a box we bought 9 years ago and it is exactly the box we wanted. The difference between the old and the new version: 1. Handles. The handles on the old version were simply carved and made out of wood and looked fantastic. The new version has plastic that snaps onto the handle and looks cheap.2. Wood. The old version has a nice smooth glossy finish. The new version is matte and you can feel the texture of the wood when you run your hand over it.3. The edges. The old version had fully rounded edges for the toy box and lid. In the new version, the edges are more square (not quite pointed, but not completely rounded like in the old one).4. The bow. The older version has a small soft-close hinge mechanism that doesn't go into the toy box area. The new version has two loops with a crossbar that lead into the play area, taking up space where more toys could fit. screws. In the old version, the screws were countersunk in the wood. The screws on the newer version protrude and can damage the flooring if the box is not lifted to move.
