It worked for me for about 1 year, then the CD player failed. I used it about twice a month in a clean, moderate temperature environment. It sat on a shelf in my garage and I didn't take it anywhere, so it wasn't subject to vibration, shock or impact. The error manifested itself as disc read interruptions, random stops, disc read delays, or errors during boot, etc. Sometimes I had to power cycle the device to get it working again, but this was temporary and didn't always work. I tested it with different CDs. I have had Sony products in the past and have been satisfied, but my experience with this product has been terrible.
