I see others complaining about Yosemite incompatibility and this might be a different one. approx. 4 hours Moved to a newer Macbook Pro Started with Yosemite 10.10.2 Time Machine recognized the Mac Mini TM file and offered to back up the Macbook TM separately Error-free Then in June 2015 Apple upgraded the partition with the Time Machine to 10.10 .3 updated backups wouldn't mount and I don't want it removed. I was able to circumvent the latter by putting it back into the RE partition for just one partition and then mounting it and allowing any level of secure erase. Deleted and sent back for a refund. Either Apple needs to get rid of every Yosemite sales nightmare, or third parties need to be more closely integrated with Apple's senior engineers so they CAN make compatible devices. Three stars. because it is very easy to set up. noiselessness. Looks nice. Cons: Outage in less than a month. It didn't pop out like the cable on Wes Digital drives, but it will definitely pop out with touch or wind.
