This item is durable and includes two rubber O-rings. It's too small for the floor socket I bought it for. The lid does not screw into the container. The lid is large enough to "sit" in the socket and be flush with the floor. To take it out you have to press on one side to lift the other side to the left. I doubt it will hold liquids with this type of setup. I got it for child protection in the family room. So far, this is not a "nice annoyance". Check your measurements and good luck!
