I'm sure this method of making flying geese has been known for quite some time, but it was new to me. The Valor quilt I made called for jagged stars, some of which were quite small. I prefer not to process or sew tiny squares of fabric, so I went with the Day Quilt Calling All Ruler Geese method. You can use much larger pieces of fabric in the beginning and that makes sewing a lot easier for me. Once you start using a ruler to cut and trim your geese, you'll wonder why you ever did it any other way. Out of 100+ flying geese, the stars came out perfectly AND I lost NO POINTS! I couldn't be happier. If it weren't for the fact that each build produces 4 flying geese at once, I'd give it 4 stars instead of 5 due to wasted fabric. So 5 out of 5 stars from me. Definitely worth it.
