update after 2 months. No matter what we do now, this aerator keeps flowing. We've tried cleaning it, making sure no plastic bits are blocking the seal, and wrapping rubber/tape around the seal, but no matter what, the seal runs all over the table when we pour the wine. I really wanted it to work, but it barely lasted a few weeks before it turned into a major headache. Now we don't even want to use it and it just sits in a drawer until the next time we want to make a big mess. Don't ignore negative reviews. Take the lesson everyone else here has learned and buy another brand. ----------- -------------- --------------- This aerator does an excellent job of adding air bubbles to your wine as you pour it. For the full effect, the bottle must be turned almost upside down, otherwise the bottle will not fall into the wine pour. However, this can be an issue as the quality of the aerator is mediocre. As others have noted in their reviews, the aerator will leak and break. Because when you screw the plastic cover onto the case, the smallest piece of plastic holds the most important seal together. My device had excess plastic left over from the manufacturing process that was affecting the sealing of my aerator. After shaving off the excess plastic, my aerator stopped leaking. But the instructions tell you to be careful with the aerator when disassembling and assembling parts. On the plus side, the parts are super easy to clean and the aerator is pretty fun once it stops leaking. Aerators and hopefully this aerator will last a while before I upgrade it.
