THIS ONLY APPLIES TO THE BLACK/LED COUPLE The Goretex label on them is no reason to reject them. For the first day, maybe even the first hour, I found myself almost ankle deep in a mud pit and these boots kept me dry and comfortable. A few weeks late, they still offer comfort and protection that surpasses any shoe I've ever owned. The only problem I have is changing to other soles, the factory insole is very straight both in width and height, so my heel doesn't always fit 100% in the socket provided. Other than that I didn't see anything to worry about.
