Most USB-C connectors are standard width. This means that they fit easily into most openings in the case. This USB-C end from Anker has a nice, solid, regular USB-C connector, but the housing it's in is much wider than a regular USB-C connector, so if you're using a housing or a If you have a thin spot, you'll need to connect (e.g. on your smartphone or tablet), while most standard USBC connectors will fit, this may not be the case.
