First of all I would like to thank the wonderful tech support folks for this unit for this review. I bought it because I wanted a decent soundbar at a decent price without breaking the bank. This one fitted the bill, not only was a quick order but on time, it was early. Setup was very easy and straightforward, sound quality is great for movies and music. and minimum values. Now to the problem. When I ordered I was sent an email thanking me for the purchase etc. It said if I wanted to turn off the sleep mode to contact them which I did. 12 hours. There were instructions on how to transfer the update file to a flash drive, insert it and turn on the device and the process should complete in 5 minutes and turn off the device. The device never turns off or turns off with the remote control or the power button. . I contacted tech support and wondered if I missed a step. Responders bluntly stated that this was not a problem they had previously experienced, and they discussed it with their team. After 12 hours they replied and said it was an unknown problem but they would send me another express unit, 2 days later a new one came. Works great without standby mode. This is probably the longest review I've written but to be honest the email support was top notch and to top it off they didn't bother to return the old device. so less effort when repacking and shipping.
