This is the second time I've used a Sigma lens on my Sony camera. I've used them in the past (on my Canon cameras) and they've certainly improved my image/video sharpness and colour, added nice bokeh and made autofocus MUCH easier. I would consider all the praise justified, these lenses really are the best for a brand other than Sony. As a beginner/hobbyist, you should consider the image sensor when purchasing a lens for your camera. I have an a6400 and this lens looks more like a 24mm lens (due to my camera's cropping) than a 16mm lens. This isn't Sigma's or this lens' fault, as it's actually 16mm on a full-size sensor camera (like the Sony A7iii). I ordered a 30mm lens which was more in line with a 45mm lens and had to buy this instead (a 16mm lens) to get the range I was looking for. This is something we beginners/hobbyists may not realize, so I decided to point this out in this review to help you choose a lens wisely for any A6000s series camera :) This lens can be used with various Sony camera builds be used. and I would recommend the Sigma brand as I have used them extensively with Canon (now Sony) cameras. No complaints here. Hope this review helps :)
