We've always been looking for a glass food storage system. We recently purchased 4 oz OXO glass containers and lids for our kids and were so excited we decided to switch to all OXO glass food storage containers. Bad idea. at the time of shipment. I removed the glassware to inspect the others, stacking the smaller containers within the larger ones as is usually done in storage. One of the smaller containers slipped out of my hand into the larger container, and when I say "slid" I mean it was about to slide into the larger container, so we're talking about a distance, maybe in millimeters. The containers shattered and shattered as glass met glass. I was so surprised that I just stood there and looked at the containers and thought did that just happen? To top it off, the return process was a joke. Since the item is technically sold by OXO, they wanted us to pay for the return shipping, which costs more than the price of the containers! We just wanted to replace the broken bins! Nightmare! We have a range of Pyrex glass jars with a plastic lid that always needs to be replaced. We've had these things for almost ten years now. They traveled across the country and abroad. their children survived. And they don't have a single flaw. Was hoping to switch to OXO but instead we'll keep our Pyrex and maybe just buy better caps. Not worth the price. Not worth the trouble.
